Joppa's WYSE team placed first in SCC Regionals. The following received individual recognition: Biology: Troy Latham (3rd); Chemistry: Carly Peck (3rd); Computer Science: Ava McNeill (1st) and Cheyenne Lang (2nd); Engineering Graphics: Sky Keeling (1st); English: Libbie Lumbley (1st) and Aubrey Stubblefield (2nd); Mathematics: Sky Keeling (2nd), Troy Latham (2nd), and Libbie Lumbley (3rd); and Physics: Aubrey Stubblefield (1st) and Matthew McGinness (2nd). Congratulations!

SCC application deadline for scholarships that was originally set at March 1, has been extended to March 15.

Junior High boys basketball game is at 6 pm at Joppa Jr/Sr High School. This game will be recorded and posted after the game. Each player is permitted to have three spectators who must sit together. Concessions will be open.


Shawnee Community College is currently accepting applications for their practical and associate degree nursing programs. Due to inclement weather and testing dates being cancelled, students who are interested should complete the application packet as close to the March 1 deadline as possible and promptly schedule their TEAS exam.

SEMO has great news to share! There are still scholarships available AND $0 application fee. To apply, go to: https://app.semoadmissions.org. Students must apply by 11:59 pm on March 1 for automatic consideration for those scholarships.

The Freshman Class of 2024 will be selling silicone bracelets beginning next week. $2 for each Ranger Country bracelet. $3 for each awareness bracelet (50% of the sales from the awareness bracelet will be donated). You can place your order by contacting myself, or any of the freshman class.



Parents: Joppa/Maple Grove School District is changing our remote planning day on Friday, February 26th, 2021, to a regular student day. All students will be in attendance on Friday for the regular school day hours. Thanks for your understanding.


There will be an away varsity basketball game at Meridian tonight at 6 pm. There will be no girls game. There will be no visiting fans allowed due to IDPH regulations pertaining to space.
