SEI- AHEC is offering scholarships in the amount of $500 each. The Future Healthcare Hero award is for 2021 high school graduates attending high school in one of the following counties: Alexander, Clay, Crawford, Edwards, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jasper, Johnson, Lawrence, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Richland, Saline, Wabash, Wayne, White, and Williamson, and who are pursuing entry into any health science program for the 2021 fall semester. The application has been emailed to the seniors.

The Joppa High School varsity girls and boys basketball games vs. Elverado will begin tonight at 5 pm. The girls game will start first and the boys game will follow immediately after the conclusion of the first game. Due to IHSA and IDPH regulations, we are only permitting 2 visitors per home athlete. Once the girls game is over those fans will exit the gym to allow the boys fans to enter the building. There will be no attendance for visiting fans. FORMER STUDENTS - The IACAC Transfer Advisory Committee is seeking applications for five $1,000 scholarships for students transferring from an Illinois community college to an IACAC member 4-year institution as a new student for the Fall 2021 term. Joppa Junior and Senior High School’s first semester ended on December 18. Report cards were sent home on January 8. The students listed on the High Honor Roll achieved a GPA of 4.0 or higher on a weighted scale.
