Ms. Hill took several students to Murray State on Thursday, February 9, for Math Day. The students participated in workshops and exercises in math.

Army Recruiter, Steven W. Randall III, visited with the juniors in Consumer Education. They discussed benefits and opportunities available through the Army.
The home 5th/6th basketball games against Dongola this Friday, February 10, have been moved. It will now be on Tuesday, February 21. The games will start at 5:00. The order of games for the night will be; 5th-grade girls, 5th-grade boys, and 6th-grade boys.
Joppa's Academic Challenge Team (aka WYSE) placed third at SCC's regional competition. Prince and Jimmy placed third in Computer Science. John Paul placed second in Physics. Ava placed first in Computer Science. Ava and John Paul will advance to SIU's sectional.

Homecoming Events!
The 5th/6th basketball game from last Thursday, February 2. Has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 9, at Brookport. There will be three games; 5th girls, 6th girls, and 6th boys.
Since we were out for the majority of last the week, progress reports have been pushed back to Friday, February 10.
Homecoming activities will pick up where we left off. Dress-up days will start back on Tuesday, Feb. 7. The game, coronation, and dance will be Saturday, Feb. 11. The boys will be playing Century at 4:00. The coronation will start after the basketball game. The dance will begin after the coronation and end at 11:00.

Second grade celebrated 100 Day yesterday with several fun activities.
Illinois Department of Corrections visited Joppa's Consumer Education class earlier this month. They discussed and shared information about employment opportunities.
