I apologize. I labeled the wish list as Maple Grove, but it is still saying Wendy Wear's wish list. Just to be clear, it is not my wish list. It is under my name because I set it up for the teachers. Thank you, Wendy Wear Principal, Joppa-Maple Grove

Attention Families: Starting Monday, August 28, 2023, ALL STUDENTS, Pre-K through 12th grade will be attending school in the Joppa High School building located at 911 Joppa North Avenue. We are so excited to have all of our students back in person. Drop off and pick up routines: Car Riders Grades Pre-K through 6th: Families will pull into the driveway on the north side of the building by the picnic tables and garden. Drivers will pull around the back of the building (the ballfield will be on the passenger side) and drive around to the southwest entrance of the gym. There will be staff members there to greet students. (Just like at Maple Grove, but driving around the back side of the building instead of pulling straight in.) This is how drop-off and pick-up will operate. Grades 7th through 12th: Families will be picked up and dropped off in the parking lot. Please be mindful that our buses will be using the parking lot to pick up and drop off our elementary students at the gym lobby door. Bus Riders 4th grade through 12th grade bus riders will enter and exit the building at the main doors in front of the school. Pre-K through 3rd grade bus riders will enter and exit at the doors to the gym lobby. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We can’t wait to see you all!

Mr. May's sophomore Creative Writing students engaged in a silent writing exercise where they were given three topics: a photo, one of the five senses, and a specific detail to incorporate into their writing. Students then rotated around the room to add to their fellow scholars' writings.

I would like to thank the Joppa-Maple Grove Board of Education, staff, and parents for their patience and understanding during this time of uncertainty. As you may know, Maple Grove Elementary School has experienced some weather-related issues. We have an Environmental Analyst and Consultant assessing the situation at Maple Grove. We have roof damage due to storms and heavy rains. We have a Chiller problem affecting the humidity and condensation in the building. Air quality tests are being completed in each room of the building. By taking immediate action, we have lessened the severity of potential issues. The assessment has not been fully completed at this time and we will have more information soon. Remediation of the issues will be addressed immediately. Maple Grove students will be on Remote Learning the rest of this week with meals being delivered.
