This morning we had a group of students, teachers, and community members meet for a prayer circle/moment of silence for Benton and West Frankfort. These communities are suffering a tragic loss. We are sending prayers and thoughts for healing the broken hearts of all those affected.
As you have heard, Benton and West Frankfort have suffered a tragic loss. We want to show our support for our neighbors by having a prayer circle/moment of silence on Wednesday, September 20 at 7:30 AM. All students and staff are asked to wear red or maroon on Wednesday to show our support. Please spread the word to invite all students, staff, and community members to join us.

Please reach out if you are willing to help with any of the events.
Freshmen English students participated in a mock trial for SpongeBob SquarePants. Students demonstrated their reading skills, synthesizing evidence to develop an argument. On Tuesday, students used good Speaking and Listening skills to present their arguments to Mr. May. We love hands-on learning opportunities!

Joppa-Maple Grove Unit District 38 has really felt the love during our transitional time. The overwhelming support from the community near and far is proof of how good people are and how blessed we are. Maple Grove students and staff don't have enough words to describe how grateful we are to everyone who donated and/or sent positive thoughts and encouragement. We wanted to make sure everyone who was there for us is recognized. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU!
