The second graders had an awesome time at the Encampment on Friday. They learned about making pewter spoons, weaving rugs, making lace, and using animal bones to make musical instruments. They played a few games and met Mother Goose and Johnny Appleseed. #Elevate38

FFA has two different fundraisers going on. The first one is a calendar fundraiser that will end October 30. You pick a date and pay that amount. For every $5 you spend, your name will go into a drawing for a gift card donated by one of our parents. The second one is a T-shirt sale, shirts are $10 and will be available until sold out. Contact your FFA students or Mrs Heady if you are interested in donating!

Mrs Dickey's pre-k and Mrs. Joles' kindergarten enjoyed learning about how fire fighters keep us safe! We also learned about how we should only call 911 if there is an emergency and someone is in danger! Thank you to the Massac County Fire Department for sharing about fire safety! #elevate38

Learning about fire safety
Learning about the different parts of the firefighter’s uniform
We learned when we see a firefighter with a mask on not to be scared because they are here to help us
This is what a fire man looks like in uniform. We learned not to be afraid of them because they are here to help us
We touched the fire fighter to see that they were just a person in uniform and they are safe!
The firefighter has an important job!
The Joppa High School Educators Rising is hosting a fall food drive for our local food pantry at Joppa Missionary Baptist. Bring in any of the listed items until October 25th.
