As expected, Joppa-MG will be out of school on Wednesday, February 19th due to the snow storm that moved into our region late this afternoon. Please check back for updates as we make decisions on the remainder of the week. Be safe on the roads.
Senior Night has been Canceled for Basketball and Cheerleaders: February 20, 2025.
Due to the impending snow storm on the way we have cancelled all extracurricular sporting events for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We will make a decision on Friday as soon as we can.
With heavy snow set to begin on Tuesday afternoon, Joppa-MG will dismiss tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. All students will be served lunch prior to dismissal time. Please note that we expect significant snowfall so please check back for updates for the rest of the week.

Dental Exams- Kindergarten, second grade, sixth grade, and ninth grade all are due May 15, 2025. Kindergarten also had a vision exam due October 15, 2024.

The Love Boat, Sink or Float!
We had a great turn out. Parents and children worked together to build a boat that would float the most kangaroos! So much Fun! #Elevate38
Students and families had fun being scientists tonight experimenting and making predictions about what liquid would dissolve candy hearts the fastest--vinegar, water, or milk! The most popular hypothesis was that vinegar would dissolve them the fastest. These pictures were taken at 7:31 p.m. and show what everyone's experiments looked like at the end of the night! FFA Week is right around the corner! Help get your kiddos excited about agriculture by allowing them to participate in our dress up day and activities. The whole school will compete in trivia competitions, dress up points, and Ag Olympics throughout the week. The winning class will receive a pizza or ice cream party put on by the FFA the following week.
