RYLA is a leadership training program designed to enhance a youth leader's teamwork, leadership, and communication skills, while breaking them out of their comfort zones, encouraging "service above self", and making new connections with students from around the world.

The College of Liberal Arts is hosting two summer camps this summer: Unearthing History: Archaeology Camp (June 9-14) (https://conferenceservices.siu.edu/camps-youth-programs/archeology-camp.php) and Gamification Camp (June 10-14) (https://conferenceservices.siu.edu/camps-youth-programs/gamification-camp.php). The Archaeology Camp would be great for students interested in archaeology, other areas of anthropology, history, and related fields. The Gamification Camp is good for students interested in virtual reality, artificial intelligence, storytelling, and gaming.
