The 4th, 5th, and 6th grades are showing Holcim their appreciation. Holcim sponsors our science fair each year. They treat the winners with a nice lunch at Cordavino's. We greatly appreciate the donation that Holcim gives us for our trip to the Discovery Park of America.
There are power lines and trees down on some roads in Joppa so the bus may not be able to travel these roads this morning for pickup. Please arrange for you child to meet at another stop or alternate transportation to school. We apologize for the inconvenience. The county has been contacted for removal.

Joppa-Maple Grove had a surprise visitor this morning! Mrs. Dummitt noticed a strange sound when she arrived to school and realized that a kitten had hitched a ride with her family! Several high school students worked with Mrs. Dummitt, Ms. Pearcy, and Mr. May to catch our fluffy guest so that Mrs. Dummitt could rescue it and take it home. Thanks to all involved in helping to avoid a cat-astrophe. #elevate38
8th grade parents - If you are interested in a group picture (which was not offered on the order form), the group and individual pictures are available. 5X7 is $10 and 8X10 is $15 for each picture. Please bring your money to the office before Friday and let us know what you are ordering. Pictures will be in the office by May 30 or so.
