Congratulations to Mrs. Kenzie Heady on being selected as the winner of the Elevate Award for the month of February. Mrs. Heady teaches Agriculture and is sponsor for the FFA and the 8th Grade Class. Her leadership in organizing numerous school-wide events and activities has helped to ELEVATE the success of the Joppa-MG School District which has been recognized by her colleagues:
“Kenzie is a great example of a servant leader. Not only is she an excellent teacher, she also goes out of her way to help her students and others beyond academics.”
“She works tirelessly after school hours to support students and is always willing to help in any way. Kenzie is an outstanding teacher and leader that we could all learn from.”
Sponsored by Cordavino's Italian Kitchen in Metropolis, the Elevate Award is given each month to a teacher or staff member who has gone above and beyond normal expectations to help “elevate” the success and profile of the Joppa-Maple Grove School District.
Monthly winners receive a $50 gift card to Cordavino’s Italian Kitchen, a certificate of recognition, and will be featured on the school district website and social media channels.

Senior Night will be held on March 6th. It will be an Elementary game night the games will start at 5:00. The Seniors will be coaching the Elementary games and will be recognized at 6:00.

The School Board Meeting scheduled for tonight (Monday, February 24th) has been canceled due to a lack of Quorum. The meeting has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 27th in the District Board Room.
