What a day at Maple Grove!

The 6th grade class enjoyed ice cream floats. Thank you City National Bank!

Today was the second annual 5th Grade Lemonade War! The students just finished reading "The Lemonade War" and learning about economics. Using what they've learned, each group had to make a business plan, research prices, and develop a recipe. Our winning group was Sweet and Sour Lemonade, run by Januari Burnett, Bentley Blackburn, and Ellie Patrick! Mrs. Rivera is incredibly proud of everyone's hard work. Great job, 5th grade!

Thank you to one of our first grade parents for helping us get watercolor paints, a new reading couch, and some treats for our classroom. We love them!

Massac County Mental Health Day was celebrated by a scavenger hunt which resulted in making ice cream in a bag. First grade class had a lot of fun!

The 4th 9 Weeks PBIS Day took place at SIUC Rec Center today. Students who are passing all classes, have no unexcused absences, and have minor discipline infractions were able to enjoy the day rock climbing, swimming, and playing various sports. Mr. Kreuter even joined in on the fun!

Mrs. Owens' class made Rice Krispy Treats with our Teen Leaders.

Massac County Mental Health sponsored a game, "Capture the Flag." They also purchased the teachers' 'The Sun Will Rise and We Will Try Again' shirts.

Mr. May's Junior English students competed in an Escape Room over Charlotte Perkins Gilman's "The Yellow Wallpaper." Students had 45 minutes to solve the clues and get past the master lock! Madison's and Liberty's group escaped with 20 minutes left to spare! Congratulations!
