Maple Grove Pick Up/Drop Procedure
Schedules are available on the home portal. High school students may contact Mrs. Bellamey if they are interested changing their schedules. August 19 is the last day to make a schedule change.
Fall AI Program for Middle and High School Students Taught by Stanford/MIT Graduate Students
AI Scholars Live Online is a 10-session, 25-hour enrichment program that introduces middle and high school students to fundamental artificial intelligence concepts in order to work through socially impact projects in areas including art, healthcare, education, and more. Developed and taught by our team of graduate students from Stanford and MIT, students receive a personalized, interdisciplinary learning experience with a student-instructor ratio of 5:1, and custom curriculum appropriate for complete beginners to more advanced students. Students may apply to our program here by August 30th, and can find more detailed course information on our website and brochure. You can also read more about our vision on Forbes. School starts Friday and all students must be registered to start. Wednesday and Thursday are Teacher Institute days, so access to the office may be limited.

Dear Parent or Guardian,
Yesterday, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker announced masks will be required for students, teachers and staff at pre-kindergarten-12th grade schools. The new measure is part of the state’s ongoing effort to combat a new surge as the Delta variant rapidly spreads.
The mask requirement is inclusive of youth sports and activities, with masks now required for all indoor extracurriculars and sports. In line with CDC guidance, masks are not required for activities outdoors where transmission risks and rates are lower.

Dear Joppa Community,
The Board of Education voted to conduct a Feasibility Study with Massac Unit #1 at the board meeting in July. The decision to do this was to gain information. Due to the closing of EEI, the school board wants to gain as much information as possible in order to make the best decisions for our students and community. At this time, no other decisions have been made with Massac Unit #1.

Student registration for Joppa-Maple Grove District USD #38 will begin Wednesday, August 4th for both returning students and new students. ALL students must register for the 2021-2022 school year. Packets may be picked up in your child's school office from 9:00 – 11:00 and 1:00– 3:00 pm, and filled out in the parking lot and returned the same day, or the day following for those desiring to complete them at home. We request all registration information to be turned in by Monday, August 9, 2021.
