Congratulations to Joppa-MG Superintendent Dr. Greg Goins on being reappointed to the Illinois State Beta Club Council, a group of school administrators across the state who provide leadership and oversight over all Illinois Beta Club activities.
Goins was first appointed to the Illinois Beta Club Council in 2001 and served as the State Chairman from 2010 through 2013 which included a three-year term as a member of the National Beta Club Board of Directors. He left the organization in 2017 to teach full-time in higher education before returning to his K-12 roots to serve as Superintendent at Joppa-MG for the 2024-25 school year.
As the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America, Beta Club is a national organization based on the four pillars of service, achievement, leadership, and character. The motto of the national organization is “Let Us Lead by Serving Others.”
"Not only am I delighted to be back on the State Beta Club Council, I'm eager to help our high school and elementary Beta Club chapters continue to grow and make an impact in our school and community," said Goins. "I look forward to seeing many of our kids at the state convention this year."
The Illinois State Beta Convention for high school students will be held March 6-7, 2025 in Springfield. You can learn more about the National Beta Club at betaclub.org.
