Congratulations to Ms. Alyssa Schloss on being selected as the winner of the Elevate Award for the month of October.
As a High School History Teacher, Mrs. Schloss is actively involved in supporting our students as the Student Council Sponsor and as the Faculty Advisor for the Productions Class that produces the new district Tik Tok and the Ranger Report on YouTube. She also serves as the Yearbook Sponsor and High School Cheer Coach.
Those that nominated Ms. Schloss had high praise for her servant leadership and dedication to helping Joppa-Maple Grove students.
“Alyssa goes above and beyond for our school and kids! She’s a person who leads by serving others and is always willing to help, give advice, and share ideas."
“She has shown her ability to think outside the box through helping her students with the Ranger Report, Tik Tok, lessons, activities, and cheers. She is always an advocate for her students.”
Sponsored by Cordavino's Italian Kitchen in Metropolis, the Elevate Award is given each month to a teacher or staff member who has gone above and beyond normal expectations to help “elevate” the success and profile of the Joppa-Maple Grove School District.
Monthly winners receive a $50 gift card to Cordavino’s Italian Kitchen, a certificate of recognition, and will be featured on the school district website and social media channels.
