Dummitt

Congratulations to Mrs. Jessica Dummitt on being selected as the winner of the Elevate Award for the month of September. Mrs. Dummitt teaches 5th grade and also serves as the S.O.A.R. After School Coordinator.

Mrs. Dummitt led all nominations this month and received high praise from her fellow teachers.

  • “Jesse Dummitt is constantly searching for various ways to improve our district. She reflects on the programs and events that are offered to the students, and always finds a way to add the "Mrs. Dummitt SPARKLE."

  • “Jesse is all heart and tells JMG's story by posting magical moments on social media. We are extremely fortunate that she chose our school to make a difference in the lives of our students. She is beautiful inside and out and her light illuminates the building.”

Sponsored by Cordavino's Italian Kitchen in Metropolis, the Elevate Award is given each month to a teacher or staff member who has gone above and beyond normal expectations to help “elevate” the success and profile of the Joppa-Maple Grove School District.

Monthly winners receive a $50 gift card to Cordavino’s Italian Kitchen, a certificate of recognition, and will be featured on the school district website and social media channels.

Others nominated for the month of September were Penny Bellamey, April Castleman, Shelly Forys, Morgan Hillebrand, Stephaine Joles, Johnnie Owens, Alyssa Schloss, Elizabeth Stevens, Charlie Stubblefield, and Stephanie Wood.
